Mayumi (マユミ)/Mayumi Akutagawa (芥川 檀, Akutagawa Mayumi) is the former hand shaker partner, the daughter of Dr. Akutagawa and Mrs. Akutagawa, the older twin sister of Koyori Akutagawa and the current partner of Daichi Nagaoka where she is known as 'Silver Cocoon' and together they are known as Team Cocoon.

Mayumi is a very cute girl who visually has the same appearance as Koyori Akutagawa due to them being twin sisters where her skin tone is shown to be very pale and she has silver hair and eyes.
She wears a traditional Japanese kimono at all times and has a bundle of flowers sitting on her hair.
Personality[]
Like Koyori Akutagawa, Mayumi is a very quiet girl who normally does what Daichi Nagaoka wants to do. Although before, she was very protective over her sister and was normally the one who put the strong front on and protected Koyori although at times she would cry and run for the help of Nagaoka and Nagamasa Makihara along with Koyori.

- The name Mayumi means "sandalwood, sandal" (檀).
- Mayumi's surname Akutagawa means "garbage, refuse, trash, dirt/dirtiness, litter, raffle, filth, dump, gook, grubbiness, muddiness, mustard, rape, dust, rubbish" (芥) (akuta) and "river, stream" (川) (kawa/gawa).
